Eleanor & Park – Why?

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell is a young adult romance book that features a Korean love interest as Park.

Rowell set progress back 100 years and did no favors to Korean-Americans.

Why was this book marketed towards youth?

The upcoming generation?
